# Dev

> Dev is a voice assistant for Windows 10 and 11 and the web that understands English, Urdu and Roman Urdu. You say "Hey Dev" and it opens apps, controls the PC, reads and sends Gmail, sends WhatsApp messages, works with Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, and remembers what you tell it.

## Key facts

- Platforms: 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 (desktop app), and any modern browser (web assistant).
- Languages: English, Urdu script and Roman Urdu. Dev answers in the language you spoke.
- AI: paid plans include Dev Cloud, so no API keys and no local AI model (such as Llama or Qwen) are needed.
- First launch: Dev downloads its speech model (about 480 MB) once in the background.
- Install: DevSetup.exe, no admin rights, asks for the license key from the account page.
- Connectors: WhatsApp (through WhatsApp Desktop), Gmail, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Chrome and websites.
- Contacts: a contacts book with names, WhatsApp numbers, emails and social handles, so "message Bilal" reaches the right person.
- Safety: voice lock (obeys only the enrolled voice); Dev never reads or types passwords, PINs or card numbers; messages to other people are confirmed first.
- Payment: card where enabled, JazzCash, Easypaisa and bank transfer.

- Pro, $9 a month: 2 Windows PCs, Dev Cloud AI, voice lock, memory, Dev's browser.
- Business, $29 a month: 5 Windows PCs, everything in Pro plus WhatsApp, Gmail, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and the web to PC bridge.
