What is Dev?
Dev is a voice assistant for Windows 10 and 11 and the web. You speak English, Urdu or Roman Urdu, and Dev does the job on your PC: it opens apps, controls volume and media, works Chrome, reads and sends Gmail, sends WhatsApp messages to your saved contacts, and opens your Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook messages. Paid plans include Dev Cloud, so you need no AI model and no API key.

Run DevSetup.exe and paste your key. Add your name and WhatsApp number so Dev knows which chat is yours.

What is Dev?

Does Dev understand Urdu?
Yes. Dev understands Urdu script and Roman Urdu, such as “chrome kholo”, and answers in the language you used. You can also fix it to always answer in English or always in Urdu.
Do I need to install an AI model like Llama or Qwen?
No. Paid plans include Dev Cloud, the AI brain on Dev's servers, so you need no API keys and no local model. The only download is Dev's speech model, about 480 MB, which Dev fetches by itself the first time it opens. You can type to Dev while it downloads.
Which computers does Dev run on?
Dev runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 with a microphone. The web assistant works in any modern browser on a phone or computer.
Can Dev send WhatsApp messages?
Yes. Dev works through the WhatsApp Desktop app on your PC. Save a contact's name and WhatsApp number in Dev's contacts and say “tell Ali on WhatsApp that I'm on my way”. Dev always asks before it sends a message to anyone but you.
Does Dev work with Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook?
Yes, on the Business plan. You sign in once in Dev's own browser window. Dev can then open your messages and notifications, read them to you, and open a chat with a saved contact. Dev never types or reads your passwords.
Is my data private?
Speech recognition and the wake word run on your own PC. Voice lock makes Dev obey only your enrolled voice. Your sign-ins to Gmail and social sites stay in Dev's browser profile on your PC, and Dev refuses password, PIN and card fields.
How can I pay from Pakistan?
You can pay by JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank transfer. Enter the transaction ID on your account page and your plan starts as soon as the payment is confirmed. Card payments are available where enabled.
Does Dev work offline?
Partly. The wake word, speech recognition, opening apps and PC controls work without internet. AI answers, Gmail, WhatsApp reports and social connectors need a connection. A licensed PC keeps working offline for several days before it must check in.
Can I use Dev on more than one PC?
Yes. Pro covers 2 Windows PCs and Business covers 5. You can remove an old PC from your account page and activate a new one with the same key.
